The challenges of the wine sector
The wine sector presents specific production challenges that call for filling technologies able to preserve product quality throughout every stage of packaging. Protection from oxidation is essential: using inert gas before and during filling reduces the wine's contact with oxygen, helping to preserve its aromas, colour and organoleptic properties.
For sparkling and semi-sparkling wines, it is also essential to manage CO₂ pressure precisely through controlled isobaric cycles, limiting gas losses and foaming, which could compromise both process efficiency and product quality.
On top of these requirements comes the need to handle glass bottles of different shapes, capacities and thicknesses safely, from traditional formats to the most unusual containers, with quick, simple and reliable format changeovers.
Finally, filling must be as gentle as possible: low-turbulence dosing systems and gravity valves reduce foaming and contact with oxygen, helping to preserve the sensory profile and quality of the wine all the way to the consumer.
